#Chaos & Conv. Memory
I have installed on my 386DX40 (4MB) a number of DOS programs,
including Chaos, DOS 6.0, and WP6.0. After using DOS 6's Memmaker,
my conventional memory goes to 619K free, 109K free of Upper, 0K free
of Adpter RAM/ROM, and 1676K free of Extended (XMS).
Then, say, I go into Chaos. After leaving Chaos, my conventional
memory is reduced to 516K free, with the other elements of memory
remaining the same. WordPerfect recommends 520K of free conventional
memory. Thus, I have to use Memmaker after every use of Chaos.
Is there anything I can do to make it unnecessary for me to use
Memmaker each time I finish with Chaos, i.e., for Chaos to leave my
conventional memory undisturbed at 619K? If so, what?
