James, The ACE is in place and it is a measure of results. I don't know if instructors should be made to take the tests also, but it would be a subjective test of knowledge. `Sleeper' students and phone interviews just don't sound very effective. With the many variations on class content, size and length of exposure, the only common denominator is the performance potential of the students. Dennis
