All registered Soft-Logik owners should be receiving another issue of DTP World in the mail soon. (They were bulk mailed last week for US customers, and air mailed to other customers worldwide this week I believe. German customers must contact DTM for information. Swedish customers must contact ProComp.) TypeSmith 2.0 has lots of new features, including multiple open fonts, PostScript and Intellifont hints, autotracing, bitmap font creation/generation/editing, rulers, draggable guides, more arexx commands and more. The retail price is unchanged at $199.95. Upgrade from 1.0 is $50 plus shipping ($5 in the US/Canada, $15 foreign.) If you purchased TypeSmith 1.0 after August 15, you can upgrade to TypeSmith 2.0 free of charge. Customers who purchased FontDesigner (the forerunner to TypeSmith and sold in Europe only) can upgrade to the Soft-Logik program. I believe the price is $75 but I'm not sure of this.
