Hi Jonathan,
the SCSI-bus has to be terminated on both ends.
Usually on every SCSI-device there is a place to plug in
a resistor pack (the terminator). These terminators must be
plugged in on the devices on each side of the bus.
On all other devices the resistors have to be removed.

A SCSI-2 cable has to be of better quality than SCSI-1
cable. No other differences. Quality is neccesary because
transmission is much faster and you do not want to have
errors on the bus.
