There is a hard way to solve that problem . You could use what they call the
monoral track of you VCR . You have to ask the service person of your choice to
choice to modify your VCR except if yours can do playing monoral when you
record video and stereo . I have modified my SONY HIFI Recorder to do that and
it works fine for me . Maybe not all VCR can be modified like that but mine is
