Since we are passing out free advice, I'd say go for a cheap drive for starters. I think you _should_ get the "Photo-CD multi-session" capability if you do much "take a picture put it in a computer work" – it's better than a scanning service bureau for straight photos. Get an external one if your kids have a separate computer, to start with you won't use it so much that you can't share with them. Chuck Jameson Silver Tongue Software
