I got a Toshiba SCSI CD-ROM with 350ms access time for $170 at NCR, a very
reputable peripherals company in Sunnyvale, Ca. This was an OEM special deal,
not a regular stock item, so there may not be any more available, but you can
call them: (408) 739-9010. They have other drives for around the same price,
but most of those use proprietary controllers.
