You haven't mentioned how much you're charging for your 3D glasses, but unless it's a lot cheaper than X-Specs was you're going to have a hard time selling many of them. The problem with a product like this is that it's more of a novelty item than anything else. I've had my X-Specs for years and I've never come across an Amiga dealer who's even seen a pair let alone sold one. (other than mine) The problem is that they don't want to stock them because they're worried about getting stuck with a pair they can't sell. They'll special order them for you, but who want's to spend that kind of money on something they've never seen? It's a shame you're not interested in selling your software seperatly. You'll need quite a bit of cash to get the 3D glasses market off the ground and I'll be willing to bet you won't be selling many packages to X-Specs owners. (we've already bought into 3D technology that died) If you were selling the software seperatly you'd be making at least some money from X-Specs owners. You say you can't afford to pass out free samples. If I were you I'd find a way and give a pair to every magazine reviewer you can find. Unless you can generate a lot of interest in your product you might find yourself going the way of Haitex. Also, consider that a lot of your potential customers may be waiting to see what Sega's VR headset is like. (due before christmas) It's just a matter of time before someone starts selling an adapter to use it with a computer.
