"Standard" Amiga pointers are limited in width only by the display hardware.
The pointer is implemented with a single hardware sprite. On OCS and ECS Amigas
sprite width is limited to 16 pixels (64 bits with AGA). Hence so is pointer
width.
There is a hack available (BigPointer? HugePointer?) which links sprites
together to create larger pointers, but this is not standard.
I would imagine that on RTG boards pointer size is limited by the intuition
emulations supplied with the boards (no specifics), so it depends what board
you have really.
Any help?
Mat.
