You did use the line exactly this way?: GVPScsiCtrl 00# DCOFF (where # is replaced by your tape drives unit number). The command is case sensitive and must be written into your user-startup sequence exactly as shown. BTW, GVP says this is absolutely necessary with Wangtek drives. The one other thing that helped me get mine up and going was to change (upwards) the number of buffers assigned to the tape drive. Did that in FastPrep, and went with a value of 64, instead of the default 32. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
