I think we've crossed our wires here, Stephen. Film recording I'm talking
about is for doing super hi-res work. I was talking about rendering to 2k
pixels per frame and sending it to a service bureau to put on 35mm movie film.
Definitley not cheap, definitely not simple, and definitely not real-time
(maybe with a few Crays <g>). For getting flics to video tape cheaply, your
best choice is a scan converter that can hook up to your VGA card via some sort
of pass through connector. These things cost less than $500, typically. I've
never used one, so I can't say much else about it.
