I've found that ACAD is a great place to draw accurate elevation views of each wall. I draw each wall including the holes for the windows and export them as DXF files. I bring them into 3DS as shapes and loft them to the proper wall thickness. If you experiment with the location of the shape's HOOK and the path position in the lofter, you can loft the walls right into their correct location. 3D DISPLAY is crucial to this. Otherwise, just loft the shapes and move/rotate them in the Editor. If you do not need openings in your walls, you could loft the outline of the building to its proper height instead. Again, AutoCAD would give you very simple control over the accuracy of the floor plan. – Dave
