Here's my Canadian .02 worth (times .7 exchange rate)… I agree with the comments in this thread. My sister, an art educator, author, and artist, recently went digital to expand her knowledge and increase her capabilities. This "debate" rages in the art field, i.e. "computer art, is it art?". Well, like any other medium has been it is just in its infancy. Photographers fought this battle, painters in each genre have fought this battle. These mediums follow the same general course: they are invented, the early users make their own materials (your own paint, your own camera, your own program code…), they fight for acceptance from the currently estasblished "arts", and then they're all just part of the family. Computer graphics is just another tool for expressing yourself. It's WHAT you express that counts. You can do paint-by-numbers or black velvet portraits, it's not the medium in question, it's your talent and your images. Learn all you can, do your best, don't be afraid to ask for help, study other people's work, or work in a vaccuum to avoid mental interference from other people's ideas. Whatever, why waste time asking if it is art? (IMHO, FYI, BTW, <g>) Gary
