Rock and Gem publishes 'theme' issues. This months issue the theme was
fossils, last months was lapidary how-tos, next month may be gold, beads, or
whatever. They always have several field trip reports. For leads on other
magazines you might be interested in check out GEOMAG.TXT (I think) in library
12 of this forum. I don't know if 'Geology' is in there – it's been a while
since I d'lded it and it gets updated from time to time.
