As I said you have to contact the author on how and whether to use his files. As I understand it, the coordinate files are simple ASCII. They might be formatted as a CAD system script file (is there a scripting in 3DS?) and used to generate a 3D sphere with little spheres. They also might be used to create a 2D bitmap texture.
