3ds with Orchid Kelvin64
Hey Chuck,
I won't even bother telling you about the time it takes to initialize the ATI
Mach64 because I'm sure you're aware of it. But, do you know that if I load 3D
Studio I cannot run Windows without having to power down the computer? The
Vibrant driver is doing something to the Mach64 that it hangs the computer when
you try to load Windows. I just got brand new drivers from ATI (to fix a
problem it had with PC-NFS) but this hasn't changed.
Why do you make so many calls to the VESA bios? That's what is taking so long.
If I put a trap and ignore all VESA calls, the Vibrant driver go straight up
with no delays.
