#rendering signage
John:
Could you advise me w/ a problem I'm having w/ a job I've taken on.
An Architect's office I do work for needs signage for a booth at a convention.
I came up w/ one I really like and my client loves!
It needs to be approx. 3'x6' and I want it put on Duraflex, a kind of photo
process that yields a very flat and durable photographic print. This will end
velcroed to the booth wall.
The question I have is what resolution do I render to? One salesman for a
photo lab is afraid to try it. Do I render 99,9999×99,999 over the next couple
of months then as the salesman says pay the 250.00 for the film recorder 8×10
then go to print? It sounds suspect to me … like he took the easy way out by
putting
a mega-price on it to force me to use their color plotter. I have several
images I'd like to provide this client but anm at a deadend.
Maybe it is an undoable but I don't know anyone to ask.Help:o-Thanks,Gary
