When doing SHAPE/CHECK in the 2D Shaper to check if the Assigned polygones are
OK, you get to know if and where a polygon selfintersects. But if you have a
not closed polygon you just get the messagage "All polygones must be closed".
As I know there is no way to see WISH polygone it is that is open!!! I have
noticed this before but havn't seen it as a BIG problem before today!! I'm
working on an animation that shall show the MAP of Europe and a mobilephone
companies areas of coverage. I have 94 polygones and about 1805 vertices, all
to be lofted att the same time. When I have Assigned all, and makes the
SHAPE/CHECK i get the above answer, that one or more polygones is left open!
BUT WHERE!!!! It should be put pumped out of the screen in SELFILLUM PINK
screamy color or something so I can correct my error <g>. But the thing to do
now is to assign a couple of polygones at a time so when I get the error I have
narrowed it down to just a couple of polygones, and so on…., this method
takes TIME!!!
Another way around this is not to make open polygones in the first place <BG>!
I tryed that method but failed. Something to do with late night,no coffe, want
to go home, hate phone companies not having full coverage everywhere and
frustration over doing it by hand!!!
If there is a way to locate the open polygon that I'm not aware of PLEASE tell
me, otherwice just add this to R4 wishlist!!!
Over and out!! -M.E
