re 141997 All very well-thought-out pragmatic obstacles… But if we could simply provide a forum for "buyers" and "sellers" of material, they might work out their differences on their own terms. For example, Organic Gardening magazine has a popular column called "Seed Savers Exchange". People send them a letter with a short list of what they have, and what they want in exchange. You send a SASE and any seeds of their "wants" and in exchange they send you their "haves." I've responded several times and it's always worked out. If the little museum in Vermont finds a little museum in Colorado that wants maple syrup, maybe they could cut a deal. 🙂
