Dear Gary:
From you, that is high praise indeed. I must confess that I had nightmares
about getting returned copies of the book from you with big red Xs through
whole chapters.
I'm glad you like it. As we both know, there is a great deal of room for other
books that take different approaches.
PS
The class at UCLA is going great. 16 people, about half in the film industry
and the other half ranging from forensics to documentation, seem to be enjoying
the course. In two classes they have covered the information covered in READ
THIS FIRST, Corporate Logo, Lighting, Morphing Car to Steel. This week is the
spider (if anyone shows up and earth quake permitting).
Half of each class is hands-on lecture and the other half is laboratory – where
they do a tutorial that exercises the new information.
I really like this format.
As an aside, you know that Frank Foster is teaching the second half of the
class (after my six weeks are up). Right?
