Much of the feldspar fluoresces a nearly bright reddish pink. I don't remember anything that I would have called a "dim purplish pink" although that just may be the microcline activated at adifferent strenghts. We didn't find much exciting where we were. There were some interesting, unknown micros in the rock, haven't looked at them under the scope yet. After three days of rugged hikes, I didn't have a lot of ambition Sunday and only beat on the boulders for a couple hours and headed home. The Okanoganite is micro–1-3 mm. Always in pseudotetrahedrons (orthorhombic twins). Color is tan to pale pink. Generally they occur in groups– so far only known from two boulders. Lanny
