Hi, Guy–
Feldspar (typically microcline) fluorescing dim maroon is commonplace. I just
read in Manny Robbins' new book on Fluorescence that this fluorescence becomes
bright when it is chilled enough.
The zektzerite may fluoresce as bright as that opal, but I will wager it is not
the same green color. The books describe it as "white"; I suspect Lanny's
mention of "bluish" is also zektzerite, a variation on white.
