Mike, I think you've just said more to reinforce my point of view than the opposite. Every software company I know of tells you to sit down first thing and make backup copies. Now with Schreiber's scheme, there is no such thing as a backup copy. Once it's gone, it's gone. And you're offered the option of paying $50 additional for a stinking dongle. If they're making so darn much more money by putting that rotten little piece of junk on the back of my computer, then let them pay the 50 bucks. Now you see where we're going? What may develop here is that customers, feeling so insulted and pushed around may lose what little aversion you guys give them credit for toward ripping off your product. Or on the other hand, maybe they just won't even buy it. Roger D.
