The numbering sequence at each tenth minute would go from, for example
1:29:59:29 on one frame to 1:30:00:00 on the next.
No frames of video are left unlabeled, and the numbers that are
dropped do not upset the ascending order that is necessary for a
computerized editing system to read the time code. But at the end of
an hour's worth of material you will now be seeing an hour's duration
reflected in the time code number as well.
