I haven't got it yet. The wish list looks impressive. I suppose ease
of use will be key, as well as connectivity to other programs
(obviously APT for one). Do you know of commercially available 3D
architectural "entourage"? I am thinking of classical orders,
certain complicated window types, interior elements, people, etc. to
improve renderings. Ease of use and the ability to work with other
architectural packages are probably key for commercial success. Do
you see it more as a CAD tool or as a 3DS or ARE modeler?
Any idea on date for 2.5? I could use some of those features right
now in my thesis. (its a performing arts complex for a
university-obviously appropriate for rich detail and complex forms).
Another idea for architectural software: AI CAD design pre or post
processor: You feed in a CAD plan and it develops a plan based on
your choice of architectural fad: Deconstructivist, PM, Modern, etc.
Kind of like Squiggle for design concepts 🙂
