#AmigaDOS 2.1
Listen, I know 2.1 has been available for years, but I run on minimums!
Lots of new stuff requires 2.1, and 2.1 has 24-bit support should I need
to add it, nothing except AGA stuff will require anything better than 2.1,
as that's the highest version shipped w/non-AGA machines, and I know those
are discontinued, but you can still buy 'em all over the place!
I know what the $150 is FOR, it just seems exhorbitant (I look slack-jawed
at those raptor [formerly screamer] prices, but I know what's in it (4
RISK 150MHz chips, wow)
I know I can put an old 1.3 ROM in here should I need to, why not a 3.1?
And just copy the 2.1 PCMCIA prefs over from the old disks? I think the
A500 upgrade may work…Unless PCMCIA code is in ROM, and you're
saying..oh yeah, IDE isn't standard on other Amigas..ah well, 2.1 until I
change comps.
