"Speak" isn't a program, it's a device. So, for instance, from a shell you
could type…
copy <text file> to SPEAK:
and the file would immediately be read aloud, assuming you have the
narrator.library in place. Haven't tried it, but I suppose you could also
redirect output from applications, too, as in…
date > SPEAK:
