Best rule is to do one thing at a time, then you know what the cause of any problem is… Given that you've already got a problem, you'll have to troubleshoot it. It looks like the instructions provided by VillageTronic/Expert Services may be backwards (see other messages here) — you might try swapping ROMs. Also check to see that they are oriented correctly. If that doesn't work, you might go back to the old ROMs to see if you can get that to work. Busting a socket (I assume that is what you mean by the "buster's chip holder") could be a big problem. Theoretically, you could crack it without affecting any contacts, but I'd strongly suspect that you either have intermitent contact with the Buster or you have harmed the socket's contact with the MB.
