Not a bug, you must realize that even though you select many objects only the first one is the one that you are working on, use the apply command, from the menu bar under functions, Put what ever you want on the object, then, select it first, now multi select the other object, use the apply command and like magic all the other objects will follow suit to what you set up for the first object. Not a bug, just a different way to where you want to go.
