Can you please inform me as to who at ATI told you this, as our contacts at
ATI have not heard of any fix? We would like to be aware of any such fix.
We supply Autodesk with regular updates–we just sent 1.0.4 to them for
testing–but we have not made any fix specific to the Mach64 to reduce or
eliminate the delays (we did add ISA support for the Mach64).
We currently believe that the problem resides in the ATI BIOS, which we
call twice on each module switch. However, be aware that 3D Studio opens
and closes each module on startup. We do not make any VESA calls directly
when configured for ATI Mach64.
