Seriously, Division's latest HMD is quite good for a true stereo unit.
If extended time is what you seek, a mono unit such as the Liquid
Image does very well. Either way, proper fit and adjustment are
crucial. The technology changes so fast I could recommend something
today and it will be obsolete tomorrow. The smart folks don't invest
until it's absolutely necessary. You'd be amazed how much you can do
"offline"; modeling and basic interaction just from the desktop.
Eye strain is a problem as is re-orientation to the real world. If a user
is "in" for more than 15 minutes we always make sure that they have a
"decompression" time of at least a half an hour. There have been cases
(not with us) where folks use a VR system, then drive and have accidents.
There are many other factors as well. VR is opening up a whole new medical
industry!
