Don Sorry for the long delay in reply – been on vacation for the last several weeks. I appreciate the info – as a matter of fact, I have had problems restoring readable TGAs from QIC80 tapes at my service bureau. Sometimes the backup software is unable to restore a file or group of files. I always assumed it was the fact that we were using two different pieces of hardware (although the manufacturer and the software are identical) A side q – what kind of gyrations did you have to go through to move from Windows 3.11 back to 3.1? Did it require a totally new installation? Any unanticipated issues? Were you able to retain your win.ini and system.ini settings (fonts, etc.)? Thanks again for the info 🙂 rw
