Shraddhan, I've been trying to send you the following as C-mail for over a week; I just realized why it keeps coming back: I'm missing one number in your ID, probably a "3" because my "3" key is erratic. Thanks for your offer of help. How come you get to go on holidays and I don't? 🙂 When I was looking for a way to make ASL file requesters selective and saw the RKM example for getting only .info files, I thought that (reversing) that would be the way to go, because having a "Pattern ~.info" showing in the requester seemed declasse. Then I discovered the old "hidden pattern" trick, and for practical purposes my problem is solved. It is a minor annoyance to me still that I can't figure out from the C example in question how the hook function I write and the system agree on where the AnchorPath structure is. In fact, I can't even find the requester call in the program example! But maybe by the time I really need to know, I will have learned enough to figure it out for myself.
