Shraddhan
Shraddhan,
I've been trying to send you the following as C-mail for over a week; I
just realized why it keeps coming back: I'm missing one number in your
ID, probably a "3" because my "3" key is erratic.
Thanks for your offer of help. How come you get to go on holidays and I
don't? 🙂
When I was looking for a way to make ASL file requesters selective and saw
the RKM example for getting only .info files, I thought that (reversing)
that would be the way to go, because having a "Pattern ~.info" showing in
the requester seemed declasse. Then I discovered the old "hidden pattern"
trick, and for practical purposes my problem is solved.
It is a minor annoyance to me still that I can't figure out from the C
example in question how the hook function I write and the system agree on
where the AnchorPath structure is. In fact, I can't even find the
requester call in the program example! But maybe by the time I really
need to know, I will have learned enough to figure it out for myself.
You have saved me many hours of frustration over the past couple of years.
I really appreciate it.
