#Poco questions
I am currently using a borrowed copy of the Poco Programming Language Reference
Manual dated September 16, 1991. What do I need to do to get a copy of my own?
Is there an up to date version available?
I'm new to Poco programming, I may be asking too much, but . . .
In the program I am working on I would like to paste a text block using the
redo command, have the text remain floating so that the user can position it
where they want, and record the distance they move it for use later.
The main problem I am having is that using redo from a poco program causes the
text to be pasted into position rather than leaving it floating like choosing
redo from the interface does. Allowing the user to choose redo themselves so
that the text would remain floating would also work; but there doesn't seem to
be any access to the interface possible while a poco program is still running.
Am I wrong?
It would also be nice to have access to all of the interface commands from
within poco, if not directly then at least by calling a macro from within a
poco program.
These are probably wish list items but any suggestions on how to do it with the
current release would be appreciated.
Thanksking the .flc files
to do something that they are fundamentally incapable of, or if I need to take
the situation up with Authorwares vendors.
Has anyone come across this situation? Can anyone shed a ray of light
(including specular effects and bump maps <g>) on this situation?
Regards,
Neville
