We're just finishing up on a CD ROM project here, using AuthorWare Pro, AVI and
flic files, and also MPEG files with the ReelMagic board. Because of the target
customers, it's all designed to run on 256 color systems; we *really* know the
problems with 256 colors, and have fairly successfully defined a pallette for
the flic files, etc., that appears to work most of the time, but, boy, what a
*BEAR* getting to an acceptable end result! Hopefully, in a year or two, 24 bit
color will be the Windows standard, not the general 256 colors, (and don't even
*mention* 16 colors….). <g>
