Luke, I do have Finalwriter, SBase Pro and Arexx on my A1200, I do not have a Spreadsheet at the moment. My knowledge of Arexx is very basic at the moment, when I have time I try to learn a little bit more about it, but since I have never programmed any computer language before and it is very slow going <G>. Although I would love to have an application that helps me organize and perform many of my tasks in an interactive way, its probably a bit more than my meager programing skills could handle at this time. The idea of having someone such as yourself write the application is attractive, however I know that my company would NOT finance it, and I'm not sure the cost ratio vs. my salary would be worth it, what kind of cost would we be talking about anyway (per hour and estimated hours????) The applications I use are Pagestream and Finalwriter for creating Newsletter, Flyers, Proposals and correspondance with clients and individuals in the company I work for. I have created a customer database with SBase that gives me basic statistics for generating mailing lists & labels. I'd love to incorporate long term quotes and our price lists into the database, I create the long term quotes, but the price lists are created by the headquarters, they are changed every year or so, however i think they use Lotus 123, so maybe i could get the datafile that way. The other information I would like to be able to use for anylising my customer base are the actual order database, however the only way I could program that in is to manually enter the information each month from a report I get, it is about 15 pages long and includes more line Items than I care to count. I have no hope of getting this information any other way since the factory uses a severly taxed main frame that needs to be scrapped and a new system and software installed. We can't even install an e-mail system, something I've advocated for years. However, we are modernizing and improving our manufacturing lines and capital improvements are spent in that area for the time being, but some day they will have to look at the computer system, or it will not be able to handle the volume of business we do.
