It might be fast if you just have a single task running… but on a
multitasking computer these non-DMA controller slow down the whole machine
while pulling the data… so I can back-up Kelly: a good and working DMA
controller is what you should look for and that has allways been hard to
find… finding a good and reasonable fast non-DMA controllers is no
problem…
