I also use a WangTek 5150ES and back up 80mb drives often using
Quarterback 5.0 and it works OK. Thought you might like to know. The
program QB does sometimes lock up and always has done, but it sounds
very much to me like you have either a bad cable, badly seated
connector, or terminators not at the ends of the chain.
