Hi Gary, Regarding the Conner 1.2GB drives… I've been using one for quite a while, and it works great. It runs hot, but not as hot as the Microplolis drives, I've heard. I was able to edit my entire demo reel on it, about 3-4 minutes, and it takes up about 1/4 to 1/3 of the drive currently. I can still get another 400-500 MB on at a very high block size (about 240), which is several more minutes worth. I've got 4 fans in my mid-tower. The original CPU and power supply exhaust, plus an intake and exhaust fan at the front and back of the box. The intake blows across all of my boards (PAR and Targa especially). It keeps air moving pretty well, though not blowing directly on the Conner. Runs fine. I know others with Micropolis drives tend to get a fan aimed right at the drive. Paul S.
