Yes, I agree. I stated the Alpha because it's the fastest and it does not rely
on multiple processing for the speed. (Dec sells multiple processor Alpha's
too.. <$$> Personally, I bought a dual pentium ready system for compatibility
today. I believe P6's will be slower than Alpha processors (newest vs. newest,
etc.) but will be cheaper (as you mentioned) It'll be interesting. As programs
go towards NT, the Alpha will become even more viable as a single workstation.
(assuming they keep their lead in $/performance)
