Paul, When getting memory protection faults it's best to strip your Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files to the bare minimum needed to start the computer. The bare minimum is always different but a good starting spot is: Config.sys: DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS FILES=50 BUFFERS=30 Autoexec.bat Your path statements A mouse driver Of course you may have certain other items which need to be there but eliminate as much as possible and start from there.
