Hi Dave. Thanks for your suggestions; so far, no matter how high the resolution, I still get those stick-like lines. I played around with the control panel, and by moving mouse or pen verrrrrrrrrrry slowly, can sort of make curves in freehand. I am not snapped into a grid setting; I'm going to try that trick of working at higher resolution in regular Animator Pro – I can see how that would be helpful. I think I will put a comment into Animator Studio Bug questions, and see if they have any suggestions, too. I will relay them to you — who knows, it might come in handy for something you're doing.
