I have the same CD and controller setup as you. I also noticed a
dramatic improvement in CD performance on both Amiga & Mac side when
I hooked it up to the Emplant SCSI controller. You mention that the
Syquest locks up on you? Does the drive light come on, stay on, &
require a power-down to reset? (That's my problem.) As for the drive
not showing up, I assume you're issuing the command 'HDToolBox
empscsi.device' to make sure toolbox only looks at the emplant SCSI?
To mount an Amiga Syquest cart on th emplant SCSI, I think you _will_
need a mountlist, or else just use SCSIMounter (a great little util I
found here on CIS, SCSIMounter will poll the SCSI bus, give you a
list of devices, and allow you to mount any disk or partition.) I
hear UU will be providing an Autoboot option in future months.
