#3D Laser Scanning
I could use a little feedback about the free mesh of a dragon that was posted
last week in library/mesh/projectfiles/free 3d laser model.
What do you all think?
This is a rapidly emerging technology/service in part due to drops in cost. I'm
sure you have all seen the hand-digitizers for under $2000. Thats about one
fifth of what we paid for ours a few years ago. Laser scanners are nice because
for the most part they are automated and produce large amounts of accurate data
much more quickly than any human ever could. Laser Scanners, while still
expensive, have dropped in price dramatically and increased in sophistication
as well.
Is anyone out there interested in 3D scanning?
