#AMaxIV = YES!
You do have a valid point about the lack of SCSI on the AMAXII+ card.
However, since I've been waiting months to get the Emplant SCSI option to
work, I feel the same way about the Emplant board – it 'lacks' a viable
SCSI option.
If I throw more money into the 4000, I will be buying a combo SCSI-II and
RAM board. The Emplant SCSI speed will probably be inadequate for some
future uses. (Since I've got a Toaster, I need both in one board.)
Have you considered the GVP 4000-8 board? Supposed to be a SCSI-I
controller w/ room for 8MB RAM? It only costs around $155. I don't have
any info on the board, but I'm getting more interested.
