Hey Philip,
I've heard of others who had a similar problem. I would recommend reinstalling
3DS from your original disks.
BTW, do you ever get an "INVALID NORMAL ARRAY" error message? If so, Greg
Pyros might be able to hook you up with a nice ball cap : )
