>> Is it true NT uses 20 megs of ram by itself alone? I have four 4 megs simms know and am trying to save up for four 8's. Does this mean when I get 3DS MAX and 32 megs that I'll only have 12 megs leftover for MAX? That would be less than I had in dos. Thanks!! Jason P.S. Does anyone know of anyways that I could sell or continue to use the 16 megs I have now, so I would only have to buy 16 megs more. << Simmsaver Technology (316.264.2244) makes various RAM towers that let you stack simms to achieve higher densities. I don't know if they make any towers for your needs. We just upgraded from 486's with 4MB-36pin simms to Pentiums with 72pin simm sockets and didn't have to through away our ram. (4)4MB simms in one tower make a 16MB package. You can get right and left hand versions and put two towers next to each other. You could then get two 16MB simms for your other sockets. Skip the 8MB simms and go with a higher density setup. Most mobos use their ram in pairs. Terry Gilbert Forcade & Associates
