Please note that this is not an AS problem, it occurs each time I try to start several other apps. << okay… well… let's disect this puppy… what other apps are on the harddisk, and is there any way to look at the filename (not the extension) on any of the programs recently installed? most windows apps use the same installer compression utility… the filename remains the same but the extension gets changed as the file decompresses. a quick listing on floppies of those apps installed recently might tell us exactly where this file came from. another giveaway is the date of the file… once it is found… this might telll us (by virtue even of the directory it is in) which app it belongs to. once we know the file's source, we can begin to diagnose what conflicts or effects it has on other apps (including AAS). -dave
