Tim, I have to second your opinion about Truespace and 3DS. I had mulled over upgrading to TS2 but them MAX was born. This leaves no doubt in my mind where my money will go. Truespace was neat, but not nearly as easy to use. The "Natural user interface" is for me anything but natural. Coming from a Autocad/drafting background, I much prefer 3DS's approach. I suppose for some people the TS2 interface makes perfect sense. But I'm not one of them. There are times that I would prefer a Raytracing renderer ie. refraction, water effects, window reflections.
