The format has not been changed anywhere in the 4.0x series, although a couple
of revs in there did not properly set caches etc, on the seagate drives.
Persons who originally formatted drives under those revs did need to at least
do Set Drive Cache with the newest software, but did not need to entirely
reformat drives. Recal is also usually not needed between revs.
